Tribute to Rob Wyatt

Posted by Jacqui on 18th September 2017

This week is the first anniversary of the death of Rob Wyatt.

We worked with Rob on many great projects for over 30 years. His professionalism, good humour and enthusiasm for his work is a shining example to us all of how honesty and hard work deliver great talent and consistently high quality.

Rob was one of the very best studio photographers I’ve ever worked with — a true craftsman behind the lens. He captured images with an effortless style and clarity that brought every project to life. His calm presence, creative eye and unshakeable commitment to excellence made him an essential part of the Visual Identity story.

A personal tribute to Rob Wyatt

On a personal note, Rob photographed me for my very first local role as Design Manager at Betnly Wollstone, after I’d returned to work following the birth of my children. At that time, having worked in London’s creative industry before starting a family, stepping back into my career was a pivotal moment — and Rob’s support and talent gave me the confidence and polish I needed.

Rob worked tirelessly throughout his career. He built an enviable portfolio, working with iconic brands such as Marshall Amps and Aston Martin, and photographing many famous musicians. Together, as Visual Identity, we partnered on work for clients including Boxclever, Argos, The Open University, and Cranfield School of Management. His images often spoke louder than words — always distinctive, always impactful.

To mark this anniversary, we share his website to celebrate the legacy of his incredible work and imagery:

We would like to pay tribute to Rob Wyatt, a great man, a gifted photographer, and a dear friend who is truly missed and remains a great loss to our industry.
