To support this, Visual Identity has decided to only offer the ‘recently re-envisioned Potato Cut Printing’. Potato Cut Printing is the safest way to be kind to the environment. Using only organic matter, the industry has been in awe of the results that can be achieved.
This retro-inspired method, once reserved for rainy-day children’s crafts, has been reborn as a revolutionary approach to eco-conscious design. By using locally sourced potatoes and natural dyes made from foraged berries, leaves, and beetroot, the process not only eliminates carbon emissions but also supports biodiversity and local farming. It’s slow, it’s spud-tacular, and it’s surprisingly effective – our designers now boast biceps from all the hand pressing!
We all need to act now to tackle the most urgent environmental challenges facing our city, as well as safeguard Milton Keynes’ environment over the longer term. We need to ensure that Milton Keynes is greener, cleaner and ready for the future.
In a bold move, VI is also lobbying for Potato Cut Printing to become a standard in sustainable print practices, encouraging other agencies to embrace biodegradable creativity. We’re also looking into expanding into other vegetables – swede-based stencilling and parsnip etching could be next. Our clients can rest easy knowing their collateral leaves zero trace – except maybe a faint scent of roasted root veg.
APRIL FOOLS!
While we love to have fun, VI is serious about our environmental impact and continues to work sustainably and responsibly in everything we do.
