Video Marketing

Posted by Lauren Austin on 4th March 2020

A ‘nice’ option, or a necessity?

Video content combines audio and visual senses. As humans, we find videos more engaging, memorable, and more popular than any other type of content out there. The sheer volume of video content online is growing rapidly, so it’s more important than ever that you keep up with emerging trends.

One of our local client’s recently recognised the need for fresh and engaging content and commissioned VI to produce video content at their conference event.

This busy event was a great opportunity to source client testimonials, interviews with industry professionals as well as providing some supporting photography. The footage will be incorporated into their on-going marketing strategy and used as promotional or informative material.

Video marketing has taken the social media world by storm with 81% of businesses now using video as a marketing tool.

Some interesting statshttps://www.avasam.com/100-video-marketing-stats-you-need-to-know-in-2020/

At Visual Identity, we combine the talents of video production, with the knowledge and expertise of our art directors, scriptwriters and storyboard creators to develop engaging branded video content that entertains your audiences and makes them want to know more.

– Users view more than 1 billion hours of video each day on YouTube. (YouTube)

– 92% of users watching video on mobile will share it with others. (Wordstream)

– Social video generates 1200% more shares than text and image content combined. (G2 Crowd)

A ‘giant’ task in more ways than one…

This month we have also completed a video shoot for a National Distribution Centre in Northampton, who process and transport medicines and medical equipment across the UK and Europe.

The UK Warehouse Manager recognised the need to improve their staff training material and therefore commissioned VI to produce a new branded video to be used in their new-starter ‘welcome’ / training days.

VI spent the day on-site shooting the entire NDC process from receipt of goods, through to transportation. Although we have worked in similar locations during our time, the vast expanse of this particular warehouse provided a new challenge, even for us!

Best Practices

Videos under two minutes long usually get the most engagement, so it’s important to decide on the key content to include when producing a brand video.

Nearly 50% of internet users look for videos related to a product or service before visiting a store. (Hubspot)

Most users are more than happy to be marketed to using video. However, many marketers don’t feel they have the time, in-house ability, or budget to create the multimedia content that their audience craves.
