If you haven’t had time to plan for Black Friday 2019 yet, there is still time – which is where VI comes in! It’s reported that British shoppers plan to spend over £7 billion on Friday 29th November and Cyber Monday sales this year.
In 2018 we won a National Chamber of Commerce Award for Digital Communications Campaign of the Year: for our work with Barker Shoes. This campaign featured a Black Friday campaign which was put together by VI, including website development, e-marketing and social media promotion. Our designers create engaging graphics and content to make sure your product and offers stand out in the crowd.
However, the event doesn’t only take place online – most companies run their campaigns throughout their retail stores too. It’s important to maintain brand continuity throughout, as many customers will browse online before visiting the sales in-store, so brands should ensure customers can easily identify a particular promotion.
Reports on Black Friday 2018 revealed that online retailers took the lion’s share of the Black Friday success. In particular, Amazon experienced a record-breaking Black Friday event in the UK, with British consumers buying hundreds of thousands of toys and beauty items by mid-morning on the opening day! It is expected that 2019 will follow the trend with online retailers recording huge takings, with the advantage of officially starting their sales at midnight on Thursday, and therefore gaining a head start on high street stores.
Don’t panic, there is still time! Our team is currently working on some of our client’s campaigns, so get in touch to create an award-worthy campaign!
